55 push-ups and a cold shower every day. Still waiting on progress. Totally fine with that.
Process over progress — always. I love to coach, and I REALLY love to coach kids' sports. I'm not a fan of the logistics and the money grab, but I sure LOVE the growth opportunities for the kids. Hard work, being a good sport, what a good teammate is, and suffering through it together. Tools we can carry into real life.
Something I've been hitting them with this season (also as a solid reminder to myself) is that process is the priority over progress. Focusing on the former allows us to achieve the latter (eventually) and get there the right way (hard work).
Quick reflection — where can you focus on process and relieve yourself from the obsession over progress?
AND — humble brag. Stoked to share that I'm undefeated this year with my goal of 55 push-ups and a cold shower every day. Still no "progress," but a lot of process. :)
Plus, a process I'm heavily involved in is getting kids (and adults) out of JoCo and to the farm. We play, screen-free, unstructured, and I'd love to have you and your family out to the farm on April 18th.
Please RSVP below so we have an accurate count for food — and to make sure we have a big enough dance floor! Would love to have you.

What do you think about programming? What gets you stoked to come into the gym when you see a workout? What do you want out of the programming? We're building some tools that will let us further dial in the programming specific to what our clients want — AND in order to fine-tune it, we need your feedback. Note: it's not anonymous, as we like to follow up for clarity because we CARE. :)

Things to Consider
- Mother Root — an evening cocktail (no booze). Brit always seems to find these nice little hacks. I rarely drink, but it's nice to have a cocktail-type thing every now and again, and this scratches the itch for sure. We do a shot of this with some Pellegrino.
- AI for kids — what are we going to do here? I've been thinking a lot about this lately. By the time I share this it'll probably be outdated, but it's worth thinking hard about, as school is going to change drastically in the near future. Bottom line: we need to teach our kids to do hard things, always and forever.
A Good Read or Two
- ABC's of Success — I listened to this book on repeat last year to help get me out of my persistent desire to think negatively (yes, even Mister Positivity has his issues with staying up).
- Excellence Wins — an inspiring book about service from the founder of The Ritz-Carlton. Great for anyone in the service business (everyone…).
Parents' Night Out
Take advantage. Your kids get to have a blast, and you get 3+ hours to go have a date night! Thanks, Kody, for making this happen.
