Happy New Year Everyone - (kind of)

In the coming weeks the kids get back to school, summer holidays come to an end, and I get to take a break from eating ice cream.

We've long considered August/September the New Year as it relates to 2020FIT and our community's overall health.

We all get back in a better routine. Are a little more motivated after the summer. And hopefully ready to lock in some good habits for the fall.

So, starting September 9th, I'm bringing back the monthly Shred with a challenge designed to get the wheels of health moving again and refocus us once summer passes. If you're interested to learn more or to sign up to join our group, please do so here.

We haven't done one in a long time so the basis is simple this go round - sign up and commit to taking good care of yourself for 12 days by working out, eating real food, and sleeping (Sept 9th - 20th). Sign up here. My job is to hold you accountable.

Give it some thought - would love to do this with you and get back in the routine of a different challenge each month.

Either way - Looking forward to seeing you in the gym much more often this fall!

HYROX is coming to 2020FIT! We are excited to announce that we are the first HYROX affiliate in the KC area. I've been personally testing the workouts and think they will be an awesome addition to our existing class offerings. Click the image above for some info - much more to come!

We think fitness should be a pretty big part of everyone's health routine. However a huge part about getting the results you want is based on what you put in your mouth. A Couple Little Motivational Resources:

Podcast - Here's a quick little blurb from Dr. Andrew Huberman on how to lose weight. I've studied all this stuff over the years and needed to hear this simple advice recently.

Book - I've been choking down Dr. Peter Attia's book "Outlive" and my biggest takeaway from it has been: "If exercise were a pill, it would be the greatest blockbuster drug of all time". So yeah - take your fitness (pills) daily.

Something to watch - The Tour de France just completed but recently I watched the Netlix documentary on the tour from the last couple years. It's a wild ride.

Book your slot as they're filling up!

Bring some friends (for a time deduction) or go solo. There will also be time deductions for team uniforms (have fun with it :) 7:15 am & 8:15 am sign ups or you can do it under "events" on the 2020FIT app.
