I've struggled with consistency at the gym over the years, despite spending most of my waking hours there. I took a step I never thought necessary: hiring a personal trainer named Bobby.
While the gym community provides indirect accountability through classes, being accountable to everyone means being accountable to no one. This shift made a difference -- Bobby focuses on strength work, the training I avoid but need.
The core point: You don't necessarily need a personal trainer, but you do need one person or a small group holding you accountable to your goals. This month, we're encouraging members to post their 2025 goals in the lobby publicly. When your aspirations are visible, the 2020FIT community will help you achieve them.
Community & Connection
People often arrive for fitness but stay for the community. Research backs this up -- group fitness strengthens friendships and wellbeing.
