Goodbye summer - it's been a blast. Hello gorgeous fall and cooler weather!
I was so energized over the holiday weekend coaching classes Saturday and Monday and having awesome groups of people getting after it on the holiday weekend when it's much easier to sit back and relax.
It's long been the dream to normalize doing hard things, eating quality food and living epically healthy lives so we can do what we want, when we want - without physical limitation. I've been getting a good dose of this lately as those crazy boys above are demanding more and more and I want to be able to say yes to everything.
Our 'why' for staying well/fit/healthy, however you call it, changes from time to time in life so I'd love for you to reflect this fall on what your 'why' is for getting or staying dialed so that you're down to take on any 'how' that comes your way. (here's a quick read about this from Simon Sinek that's stuck with me for years).
When your 'why' is locked down the what & how line up to make things happen - let's do it!

The last three weeks of HYROX classes have been epic (totally biased here). It’s been fun to work on some longer duration endurance work but also play with some movements that are uber simple yet incredibly effective.
This method of training is largely what I’ve been doing with my 1-1 clients the last 2 years and I’m excited to finally be bringing it to the masses. More of my sentiment about HYROX in this blog post here.
And - They just announced several more events that 2020FIT clients have access to for the next 48 hours before they become available to (and sell out) the general public. Vegas Feb 2nd. Houston March 15th. DC March 29th.

Podcast - This is pretty intense as we all don't have time to shop at a farmer's market but the concept is on point - as a country we need to get healthier. Wild perspective from two brilliant people on how we can improve our health.
Book - I recently re-read a book called "Mastery". Some good perspective on learning to do things well (my current vantage point is: parenting) + effective leadership. Another one that's on my brain is "Essentialism" which is a great read on simplifying one's life and doing what matters / makes an impact.
Something to watch - We love this show on Netflix called "Making Fun". If you like to build things or have kids that like to build things, it's a great show and breads a ton of creativity.
