July 2024 Newsletter

First off - THANK YOU from the entire team for the Community Take Over. We were grateful to get together for an action packed day at the farm and then a long weekend for the team to get some great rest (or not, see below).

To the coaches who stepped up to keep the ship running - a huge THANK YOU. You're amazing and we're so grateful for your help!

Now - are you having a 'summer slump'??

Me too. It's been a grind the last month or so health-wise between kids stuff, eating like garbage, and honestly, just being lazy.

Fortunately this month I'm sharing more than a handful of things to hopeful re-inspire us all.

From RR Health and the handful of things we do in the Rowley Household on a daily basis for our health, to several podcasts, some books that are great motivators, or just an excuse to go to an amazing bike shop - I hope July is a new beginning for many of us.

Have a great month and an even better rest of your summer!!

Jon

We were featured on a fun podcast talking about where we came from, where we're going, and what Fitness (read: health) looks like for both Amanda and I.

We have some world class athletes in this gym amongst us - Nick being on of them. I sit down with him to discuss his most recent adventure - The Spartan Death Race which is the "Hardest Race on Earth" of which Nick was one of only 4 finishers this year. Listen by clicking the image above.

A Couple Little Motivational Resources:

  • "RR Health" - what we do in the Rowley Household to stay well, even when the wheels try and fall off.
  • Fabulous book I read recently called "Endurance". It's about a group of Antarctic explorers that survive the unthinkable. I couldn't put it down.
  • "The Daily Stoic" (you can get an daily email also). Great daily nuggets to keep you in check.
  • "Breath" Everyone wants to dial in their fitness, nutrition etc. - But have you dialed in your breathing?

CONGRATS KYM AND KYRON who competed at Monster Games last weekend! (instead of taking a long weekend to relax :)

Kym placed 1st in her age division!

Kyron and his partner Quincy placed 18 out of 38 in the teams division!

Be on the lookout for more information on this year's Dri Tri. There will be time deductions for team uniforms & bringing a guest or guests. Registration starts now! 7:15 am & 8:15 am sign ups.

Check out this business (of which I have no affiliation) but am a huge fan. Last month I went on a mountain biking trip to Utah with some dudes from the gym. In preparation for it, I had to get some work done on my bike, and of course buy some gear so I hit up the bike shop One Star.

I’ve used them over the years and they are always AWESOME. So if you have a bike need, want something fixed, etc. this is the place to go, hands down.

Have a buddy you want to bring to the gym? First Friday's will be ideal to bring a friend who's new to fitness or who hasn't tried 2020FIT but wants to give us a shot.

We're staying open later Monday - Thursday! You'll now have access to open gym until 8 pm plus we're offering a different package for people who are able to train after 6 pm.
