Can we make 2020FIT a mini "Blue Zone"?
Brit and I started watching "Live to 100" on Netflix, which follows some known groups of people around the world who have an abnormally high proportion of people who live to 100, and not just survive but actually live well into their later years.
So I got to thinking - is that what we're trying to create here?
Most people come to us wanting to feel better sooner than later, to be a part of a community, to fix their ailments, or to help them drop some lbs. Well, we am here to help with all of that, but I would be remiss if it did not share that our real goal in what we do is we not only want to help you live well now, but we want to help you live well for a LONG time.
And it really started off on day 1 of 2020FIT with the group of ladies above. Selfishly, I want to keep one of them around as long as possible (she's my mother-in-law :), and this group just celebrated 11 years last month!!!
Apart from the recommendation to watch the little documentation, I want to use this as an encouragement to think long-term about your health. Is what you're doing today setting you up to be where you want to be ten years from now?
We often overestimate what we can accomplish in one year but underestimate what we can accomplish in 10...
Enjoy some family time and get your butt in the gym to 'earn' that pie :) We're open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday next week!
