October 2023 Newsletter

We are beyond humbled to be recognized as JoCo's Best Gym by the Shawnee Mission Post.

But we also realize we still have a long way to go and won’t be stopping anytime soon. I was reading Jocko Willink's "Discipline Equals Freedom" last night, and one page struck me - 'The Count is Zero' as it related to missing a rep in training and how the drill instructor would start counting all over at zero, whether you were on 99/100 or 5/100.

And that's how I feel. I love what we have and am so grateful for it. However, we are going to keep grinding to improve every day.

As it relates to the 'best gym in JoCo', what is most accurate is that we have the best PEOPLE - our team and our clients. The gym part we’re still working on; however, I can’t imagine having better people to look forward to seeing every day, both to work with and work for.

Since we have this love affair with continual improvement, we wanted to create a more formal way for you, our community, to make suggestions.

First off, know that you can always make suggestions to anyone on our team at any time, but if your idea strikes you when you’re out of the gym, you can submit suggestions here, and we will include the link monthly in my newsletter going forward.

Have an amazing month, and welcome to Fall!

Jon

Want to look cool? Order a hoodie - The deadline is coming soon. You can easily order one on the 2020FIT app (scroll to the right to see all options)

KidFIT is BACK!!! Starting November 7th, coached by yours truly! I started our initial kids program nearly 10 years ago now and I’m planning on getting back to it by starting a 2x a week class for 6-10 year olds.

I drive a pretty hard ship so if you have a little one that wants to get in the gym to burn off some steam, this is the place for them. Punch cards only now - Sign up by clicking the image above ('signing someone else up') or just shoot me an email and we'll get you set up!

Come out to Fitoberfest this Saturday! We’ve got some super fit people who are going to be working out as fast as they can. :) It’s a great kids' spectator situation. There will be food trucks and all kinds of goodies. Plus, amazing people.

I hate to be annoying here but I have to share that I’m loving the 75 Hard. As of today I’m 25 days in and I’m not even close to burning out. I'm tired for sure but loving the daily focus. (It's not nearly as hard as I thought it would be)

One of the components is abstaining from Alcohol which is fantastic for your health. Here's a run down from Dr. Andrew Huberman who's a fantastic listen if you've not followed him.

Lastly - if you want to jump in to the 75 Hard (or do it for 10 or 30 days), download this app. I've been loving it.
